Education and Conversation will Reduce Stigma and Allow Everyone to Get Support for their Mental Health
At Kaiser Permanente we believe that total health is more than just physical health — it’s about mind, body, and spirit. We want to support a culture that reduces the stigma of mental health conditions (where every KP employee feels safe and comfortable discussing mental health) so that each of us can reach out, seek help, and get treatment when we feel we need it.
When you, your co-workers, and managers take this training, you all support a culture of mental health. Together, you can talk about it, establish positive practices in the workplace, and support each other when needed. If we can talk to each other about the pain in our arm, why can’t we talk to each other about the depression we’re feeling?
This training will educate employees and managers in how you can support mental health and wellness for all KP employees through education around mental health and mental health conditions, reducing stigma, and how to discuss issues you or someone else may be going through.
